Essentially a desktop PC contains the following main components 1) The Motherboard 2) The CPU (Central Processing unit (with cooling method)) 3) Its Memory 4) Its Hard Drive 5) Its power supply unit (PSU) All the other components, such as Graphics Cards, Fans, DVD drives, Internal Modems etc are not fundamentally important.

A Laptop is similar, but has the addition of a built in screen. Here at Suffolk Computers we can test for any of these components if they have failed and recommend the correct replacement.

We can also upgrade your hardware, should your computer be running slow, as well as cleaning the registry and virus removal

We can help with all aspects of software, including Office and any anti-virus configurations, as well as sort out suitable email software and a back- up route in case of failure/loss of the computer.

The choice of specification is a major step. What brand of processor, hard drive size, RAM, screen size and that’s all before you even get to graphics cards etc. We can help with these choices as all too often, PC’s and laptops are sold on “over kill”.
